I worked with Mitch to do full remodel of the exterior of our ranch style home that included an addition of a covered porch in the front and back of home. We also did an extensive outdoor living area. He and his crew were exceptional throughout the entire process. The workmanship that Mitch and his team delivered on our project was first rate. Mitch was always available whenever we had questions and was very patient. He took time to make sure we had a clear understanding of the process and when things would happen. The outdoor living space has been exactly what we were hoping it would be and even more! I would highly recommend Mitch!!

We had a wonderful experience with Fineline. The work was done within the timeframe presented at the time the contract was signed. Their workspace was kept clean after every visit. Most important was the good communication throughout the process as various components of the job needed to be coordinated to keep everything on tract.

Fineline added a screened porch, with fireplace, to our home. The finished product blends seamlessly with the house. You cannot tell it was not part of the original floor plan. The team at Fineline was extremely professional and easy to work with. Their attention to detail and desire to satisfy the customer is second to none.

After interviewing, and discussing our ideas with numerous contractors, we selected Fineline Construction. They have completed several projects in the Fort Mill, Springfield neighborhood and we were impressed with the level of detail and follow-up on each of those jobs.  Our project was complex and included demolition of a failing deck.

Mitch was very knowledgable and able to work with us to make our ideas into a reality. He formulated a master plan that really tied together all the finishes with our current home. We wanted to have a great entertainment space for our family and friends along with fixing some of the quirks that were present when we purchased the home.

A master plan was discussed, then a budget was determined prior to construction.  Although changes to the plan occurred, they were always well received as we moved forward.

Fineline crews were very professional, courteous, and neat.  At the end of the day every area was cleaned and orderly, we were amazed at the level of skill, care, and planning that went into our outdoor living room renovation. We did have some weather and circumstances that slowed down the completion, however once it was completed we were very pleased.  All aspects were performed with amazing precision and attention to detail.

We were always concerned about the daily operations, Mitch kept us in the loop via phone call, text and email. We are very particular about details and we never felt as if we were nagging or bothering him with our concerns.

This area has become our favorite space in the house.  We are exceedingly happy that we used Fineline construction and will use them again for other projects.

Mitch and his team did a great job adding a new screened in porch to my house. It came out better than I ever imagined. They also tore down an old fence around my pool and built a new one. Everyone was very polite and did great work. Highly recommended.

Mitchell and his team at Fineline Construction built us the home of our dreams that is located in between Davidson and Mooresville, NC. We spent years coming up with the perfect design for our family and they made it all a reality.

Mitchell was super responsive to each and every question we had along the way and helped us make some very important decisions about our home. He always had our best interests in mind and made us feel like our home was the only project he was working on (when I know there were plenty of others he was also managing).

We stayed on budget and our home was completed on time. Even after we moved in, I have always felt like we could reach out to him with questions or advice. Building a custom home was stressful – but Mitch and his entire team took a lot of the worry out of it for us. His attention to detail and craftsmanship were unlike any other and because of that, there is no other contractor we would ever trust more.

During the past 10 years I have contracted with Mitchell Browning for numerous construction projects of varying scope and size. All projects have been completed in a timely manner, within budgetary guidelines, and with the highest degree of quality.

Projects have varied from a master bath addition at my Sharon Road residence to rebuilding a multilevel deck and terrace at my Lake Norman home. Additionally, he has performed carpentry functions including re-roof, siding replacement, window change-outs, and interior trim modifications.

I have confidence in [Fineline’s] ability to properly assess the obvious as well as the latent construction condition, so that the most desirable result can be achieved with the highest quality at the most cost effective price.

Mitchell and his team did a fantastic job on our porch. We started off not knowing exactly what we could do to maximize our addition while not making it look like an add-on. Mitchell was able to suggest ideas, imply how that would look and bring to action. His recommendations based on past experiences and the look we were going for all were spot on. Additionally, he was able to stay right on budget. Everything he quoted was exactly the same in the end – even when we decided to upgrade items like the stone around the fireplace. His team of employees were respectful of our property and our lives while they worked on this project. We have had multiple neighbors ask for his contact information after they see the quality and look of our porch. We could not be more pleased.

I live in a home that was constructed in 2003 and the screened porch was the typical construction porch that ages within a short time. Therefore, I starting doing some research on a company that I thought could beautify the porch and not make me take out a huge bank loan. While in the process of building a swimming pool, I mentioned to the pool builder what my intentions were for the porch and he immediately recommended Mitchell Browning of Fineline Construction. Mitchell was the fourth builder I interviewed. He immediately impressed me with his easy to listen to demeanor and knowledge of construction. He clearly understood my intentions and made some recommendations that I had not thought about. Needless to say the project was a resounding success and is absolutely beautiful. I am a fanatic about how things look and his professionalism exceeded my expectations. As a matter of fact I am building a small storage area for pool equipment and I would not consider another company other than Fineline Construction. I would strongly recommend Mitchell and his company for any home projects.

After buying my home in Cornelius, I waited four long years to expand my deck.  I shopped around for a couple of months before I pulled the trigger, but the wait was worth it.  I can’t tell you how happy my wife and I are with the new deck.  She loves to entertain and this is exactly what we needed.  I will definitely recommend Mitchell any chance I get, and I if I ever need anything else, I know who to call.  Thanks again!

I’m pleased to be able to offer a reference for Fineline. Mitch and his team recently replaced our screened porch, and it was a very positive experience, from demolition through the completion of the new porch. Mitch was extremely responsive, his team was a pleasure to have at our house, and they kept the site clean while they were working and at the end of each day. Then, of course, I changed my mind on a few things, and they were happy to make those changes – and they got it done in short order, in time for a porch party we were having that Friday evening.

Fineline did a fantastic job adding the extra room to our basement, putting the sheet rock ceilings in the basement, and connecting the basement to the first floor with the new stairway.  We love the extra space and use it all the time now that it is connected by the stairway.

We tried for the past two years to figure out the best way to add a stairway to connect the basement to the first floor.  Each idea we came up with had major draw backs so we delayed doing the project.  Thanks for your creative idea to connect the former basement storage room to the main basement and add the stairway connecting it to the first floor.  The hard wood floor, hard wood stairs, white columns, and crown molding give the stairway the same look and feel of the first floor.  The barrel ceiling also provides a unique entrance into the basement that serves as a major focal point.

Please extend our appreciation to Larry, Casey, and rest of your team for all their hard work.  We enjoyed getting to know all of your team.  They were always very professional and considerate.  I would definitely recommend your company to other customers.  You did a great job and we are very pleased.

Summing up my experiences with Fineline Construction and owner Mitchell Browning, I am pleased to say that we got the results we were looking for, in a timely fashion, for a fair price and felt that we were treated with respect and our home with was treated with care.  Mitch listened to us and provided good suggestions for changes to give us a family room we’d love.  Mitch was available to answer questions and address concerns throughout the whole project, generally returning calls the same day.

I was particularly impressed with the commitment shown to getting things done right.  Care was taken to protect my existing hardwood floors and molding.  Fineline brought their own crew in to provide superb carpentry upon which everything else depended.  To that, Mitch added the expertise of specialist subcontractors with which Fineline has a long-standing relationship and whom are held to high work quality and service standards, just as Fineline’s own employees are.  For our project, a structural engineer was consulted, which was very reassuring as a structural misstep in vaulting our family room ceiling could have been disastrous.  Communication was frequent throughout the project, which helped to ensure that things got done right and in a timely fashion.

Even with the best practices in place, minor mistakes and issues that need correcting are bound to happen and we did have a few of them.  What separates a great contractor from others is how those problems are handled.  As soon as I brought any issue, no matter how minor, to Mitch’s attention he got to work assessing the situation and seeing to it that corrective action was taken and that his personnel would learn from it.  In the end, things were done right and done on time without any unreasonable additional charges (the only additional charges were for wood rot repair work we wanted done that was not in our contract).  In the past I’ve had contractors miss target dates repeatedly, downplay problems, make excuses, or blame me for their mistakes; Mitch’s approach was a refreshing change from that.

I do have to say that I found a few of the minor issues to be addressed rather than Mitch or his staff.  It’s not really fair for me to hold that against Fineline though since I was by choice very involved from start to finish and did some of the finishing work myself and didn’t give an opportunity for others to identify those minor issues before I did.  I honestly don’t believe I could find another contractor who could do a better job.

I found Fineline Construction on the Better Business Bureau website with an A+ rating and that’s the kind of job that I got. The work that I needed done was kind of unusual. When I attempted to get estimates, other contractors either said that they couldn’t do the job, or gave me a high price because of the unknowns, but not Fineline. Mitchell Browning came out promptly, listened to what I wanted and gave me a very good price. I’m a very “picky” person about doing a quality job and when I wasn’t satisfied with anything, Mitchell did what he could to meet my expectations. In fact, when he completed the job and I mentioned that I was going to do some additional work, he offered to help me pick up some materials at no extra charge. If you want a responsive, high quality, low cost contractor, Fineline Construction is for you.

Mitchell Browning and his crew at Fineline Construction are brilliant. We have a home in Southpark that we initially contemplated tearing down. Our neighborhood has succumbed to the destruction of ’60s style houses yielding to more innovative and efficient home design. Mitchell came in and together we designed a balcony overlooking our great room. This room is now truly great and used to be a mere den. What once were 8 foot ceilings, through Mitchell’s vision and capable creation, currently rival any castle in Tuscany. With Jacobean stained beams hefted with Herculean strength by three crewmen and a ladder, the room looks ancient, welcoming and warm. Creating cozy ambience in a structure so grand is a feat in and of itself. We carried the great room into a keeping room and on through into the kitchen. The ceilings soar into the rafters balancing a turret they placed on the front of our house to add some character to our entrance.

The exterior and the interior of the home have undergone a major face lift and we attribute ample credit to the owner and crew of Fineline. They were as precise as cosmetic surgeons and as caring and respectful throughout the renovation. Because we occupied the home during construction, this was an added bonus. We may continue to revise and review our home in years to come as our needs develop and change. And, to be sure, Mitchell Browning and Fineline will be on our shortlist of contractors.
