Anytime of Year

Check outdoor paint for peeling, cracking and coverage
Test Smoke Detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, change batteries if needed
Tighten handrails and grab bars
Drywall dings and touch-up paint
Clean out Fridge condenser coils and drip pans
Check toilets for leaks
Check and Tighten all light fixtures, wall plugs and switches
Align and Adjust all cabinet doors
Check trim and woodwork for scratches, cracks and pulling away
Flush hot water and refill
Check Crawl Space for moisture and leaks
Check all Faucets and sinks for leaks and drainage

In the Spring

Change hose and nozzle washers start up and check for leaks
Remove storm windows and install screens
Turn on exterior house faucets
General Exterior Clean-Up
Clean, inspect and reattach gutters
Check, tighten and adjust fences, gates and doors
Clean dryer vents and exhaust vents

During the Summer

Clean and adjust ceiling fans
Tighten screws and nails on decks and patios
Clean and seal all decks and railings
Seal cracks in concrete
Inspect Chimney cap and masonry
Seal, patch blacktop drive
Inspect roof for missing shingles, and gaps around pipes and corners
Check for erosion or shifting around house

Fall through the Winter

Inspect attic for insulation and leak stains
Inspect weather stripping, thresholds, transitions and windows
Inspect exterior trim, gutters and downspouts
Review storage area and move temperature sensitive material to warmer areas
Drain outdoor faucets and winterize hoses and spigots
Clean gutters
Remove Screens and Install Storm Windows
Change Indoor Air Filters
Check and Clean air registers and grills
Check all pipes to prevent freezing
Set floor registers and grills to maximize airflow
Turn on and Test gas fireplaces
